Holiday Newsletter 2009

Thank you for your interest in Mago Healing Arts!  We have now been open for almost 4 months and have enjoyed meeting everyone and appreciate your positive response to our new venture.  We look forward to seeing you all again in the near future as we continue to pursue our vision of helping everyone become more enlightened and, as a result, help the planet as a whole be more loving and compassionate.

Recently we saw an interesting article ,“Biofield Therapies: Helpful or Full of Hype? A Best Evidence” by Shamini Jain of UCLA and Paul J. Mills of UCSD which looked at over 60 clinical studies of the effectiveness of “biofield therapies” (their name for such energy healing approaches
as Reiki, Therapeutic Touch and Healing Touch).  Their conclusions included that “biofield therapies show strong evidence of reducing pain intensity”.  They believe more studies are required but this information, published in The International Journal of Behavioral Medicine and available online at
www.springerlink.com (then search for “biofield therapies”), should help get the word out about the effectiveness of these types of therapies!  If you are interested in experiencing one of these approaches, you can take part in our free weekly Healing Energy Share on Thursdays from 6 - 8 pm or call the Center to schedule a session with Dolores, who uses a combination of many “biofield therapies” in her healing sessions.

We continue to expand our selection of crystals, stones, books, CDs, jewelry and
healing art and look forward to helping you find the perfect gift for that someone
special.  And don’t forget we also have Gift Cards!

We are currently developing our Spring 2010 Course schedule which will include
some of the classes we taught this Fall plus new ones such as “Using a Pendulum”and
“Energy Healing Basics”.  We will schedule some of these classes for weekdays as well as Saturdays in response to your requests.  We will publish our next newsletter
and update our website with the full schedule by the end of the year.

We will be closed November 26th, December 25th and January 1st and 2nd, and closing at 4pm on November 25th and December 24th and 31st.

Thank you again for your support.

Best wishes

Dolores and Steve
